Celebrating Community and Contribution: Malibu Moves in the Malibu Times

We’re thrilled to share that the Malibu Times has featured an in-depth article on the incredible success of our inaugural Malibu Moves event! With over 1,300 participants and $28,800 raised for charity, including $22,100 donated to the Malibu Education Foundation (MEF), this event was a celebration of community, movement, and impact.

Malibu Moves Founder & Race Director Erica Segel proudly presented a check for $22,100 to the Malibu Education Foundation (MEF), marking a significant milestone in supporting local schools. Receiving the check on behalf of MEF were Board Chair Melanie Heseker, President Karin Al-Hardan, Vice President Amber Vanderbilt, Recording Secretary Elena Eggers, and Treasurer Jessie Muchmore.

Joining the celebration were Mayor Pro Tem Marianne Riggins, Councilmember Paul Grisanti, and Austin Cyr from Supervisor Lindsey Horvath’s office, who recognized the incredible impact these contributions will have on local students.
